Hello, i have moved into a property that previously had virgin, the cable from the street goes to my outside wall to a damaged box and ended there
I have put on a new box and and put a conduit thru the wall ready for internal cables
I have enquired with virgin but they are not clear what they will send me out
as I have no connection from the outside box and no internal master socket
I also would like the hub to be located in the centre of the house which is approx a 12mtr run from the outside box
can this be done by myself rather than an engineers visit?
thank you

Typical misinformation from CS & totally incorrect. Reinstating of removed cabling is free.

You will not be able to do this yourself. Virgin use specialised cabling that is specifically designed for their own use. Ignore any "equivalent" cable shown on eBay or the like. It is not Virgin approved & a technician will not connect it as it risks injecting RF noise onto the entire local network. Access to the street cabinet is also required if you are adding another access point as signal level adjustment is required. You require a manned install, & nothing will be sent out as everything will be provided by the install technician. Do not accept a self-install kit. You won't be able to use it & it will delay your installation by a week if not more.

Hi roberto7,
Thanks for posting and welcome to our community 😊
This would be something our engineers will need to do, so I can take a closer look at the charges I've popped you over a private message.

Hello Alex I just installed my 3.0 Hub today
I was wondering if I could get a extension cable for it to place the hub in a better place?
Please let me know how I can request it.
Regards

Hello Merlino2024
Thanks for posting in regards to the possibility of moving your hub, we appreciate you raising the query via the forums and welcome to the community.
Was the installation completed via an engineer visit or did you complete it yourself? Which cable are you looking to extend? Is it the power cable to the Hub or the coaxial cable to allow it to be moved?
There is an option for an engineer to move the hub but this would be a non fault call out charged at £25.00 for the visit.
