Wall socket splitter

Hi all, I've done some Googling but have been unable to find answers. We have one VM wall socket with one hole for the cord, but our household has two different Wi-Fi subscriptions and two boxes. As of now, only one can be plugged in.

Is there any extension device that will split the socket so two boxes can be plugged in at once?

If not, is it possible to have another wall socket installed, and will that tank the quality/speed in either socket?

Firstly, why would you choose to have two different broadband contracts, are they both with Virgin?

In answer to your question, yes there are splitters. I have one cable into the property which goes into a splitter, with one cable for my 360 box and one for my router.

You best bet is to contact VM and ask for a splitter to be installed, although it will probably cost you £25.

How did you manage that?  VM rarely install two at the same address - unless it to flats in a house etc...  I

1) Do you mean two different broadband accounts?

2) What VM hubs do you have, how many?

3) Do you have a TV service, old TiVo, V6 or 360?

Hi @hulonjo1
Welcome to the community forums.

I've not been able to locate you on the systems on our side.

Are both your broadband services with Virgin Media or just the one? Just a little confused by how you've described your set-up.

If both are with Virgin Media, do you have a residential and a business account with us or something else?

Here to help 🙂
