Last time when I've upgraded to 1Gig I was sent a Virgin Hub 5 altough I have made a new contract a few days ago that said I have upgraded from 500mbps to 1Gig and I will get a Virgin Hub 5 and I am being charge £35 for activation. If I already have the Hub 5 do I need to change it to the new and if I don't I will still be charged that sum if I will send the new hub back?

So you just arranged a new contract and that's all? It just sounds as if VM are treating this as a new user, hence the Hub 5 despatch. You couldn't make this stuff up really. I would ring VM and dispute the Hub 5 charge and stop the despatch of the "new" Hub 5. All they need to do is send the new config file to your existing Hub.
