Upgrade swap to 5

I got an email from VM saying my current HUB is outdated and needs replacing for free. The new Hub has arrived. I have scoured the Internet and cannot find a straight answer. I need a confirmed answe...

    It will remain in router mode by default, so you'll have to login to the HUB settings to change to modem mode.

Out of curiosity what model was the old hub (ie 2, 3, 4?) and what is your current speed tier?
