Hi all,
I am literally at my wits end with my VM install and could do with both the rant, and any support/ advice admin could provide me. Timeline:
27/11 - Placed Broadband order online
28/11 - VM 3rd party complete external works. A route to the property in already in place so the cabling was pulled through. However the works was conducted unannounced (I know now this is normal) but the wife is unhappy with the positioning - to be fair, it’s quite high up and it’s not straight. I contact VM to arrange to move the omni-box to a more discreet area on the same side of property. Re-booked for 04/12.
04/12 - Engineer no show. Call VM and advise it will take place on 06/12.
06/12 - Engineer no show. Call VM who advise it was never booked (!) and would definitely happen on 09/12 or 10/12.
09/12 - Receive a phone call from VM to advise pre-install will be completed today or tomorrow.
10/12 - You can guess what happened. VM cannot provide a reason it hasn’t happened yet as their system does not tell them. Advised that best course of action is to book a survey on 12/12 which will definitely happen. I can then tell them exactly where I want the omnibox to go and do not need to be around for the actual pre-install.
I have cleared out work plans and staying at home each time I am given a pre-install date as I do not want a repeat of the original pre-install. I’ve lost all confidence in VM customer services as although they seem to be very sincere (as was the chap today) but clearly something is not working here. I’ve no idea if the survey will help or they will actually turn up. I’ve asked for a direct contact with the 3rd party to arrange this myself but they cannot do this.
I don’t know what else to do - please help!! 😞

I should have added that in between the above we have had a couple of VM engineers turn up to do internal works… poor form all around.

Have you had any further updates since you last posted or would you still require further assistance in getting the problems looked into?
