I recently got an email to say I could upgrade to 1 Gig volt (M500 Volt) package for an extra £3 a month if I re-contract which I've taken, as it was the same price as what I paying before I downgraded at renewal few months ago.
I've received the new contract and date the speed will be increased (2nd September) however I can see online that I'm being sent a self install kit that has been sent to Yodel. However I already have a Hub 5 (as I was on 1Gig few months back) and a wifi pod (white). I was assuming as I already had a hub 5 I wouldn't be sent any new kit, and hub 5 already supports 1 gig? But is it the case they will send a new hub or wifi pod?

Thanks for your post. How strange, yes you shouldn't have received a new Hub unless you were upgrading to 600mbs or above, but obviously that's not the case here.
Feel free to use the new Hub if you'd like, however this might be more trouble than it's worth with getting all your devices set up on the new network.
To send the Hub back, you can order some prepaid returns packaging here. Apologies for the inconvenience caused there 😊

Thank you - I’ve set the new hub up as I only get the speed increase once the hub was swapped for the new hub received, but now returned the previous hub 5.
All workikg fine 🙂
