Since July 13th, my home and business broadband has been terrible. Speeds have been very slow. Every day it goes down for about 5hrs and then comes back again. I have had 4 engineers attend my property, checked all my equipment which is fine, and all have said the same thing. The exchange is the issue. but no one has bothered to sort it out. I have claimed credits back for last week but because I was in hospital I couldnt report the fault with VM until only week before last when I was discharged. But they reckon they have fixed it. and low and behold service was on for 2 days and again both have dropped and I have been withouth service for the last 2 days.
What does it take to VM to actually go fault find and fix these issues? I have another engineer booked tomorow to visit my property for which they will say nothing wrong with your equipment, its the exchange and then disappear. Daily it goes offline about 3pm and doenst come back until between 7-8pm. I am getting fed up by this and I am looking at alternative providers. Both me and my wife work from home, I also run a business from home and cant because my busy periods are just when the internet goes offline.
The VM engineer also told us the exchange is overloaded. I am less than 50ft away from ours. What does it take for this issue to be taken seriously? I know we arent the only ones who have complained.
