Worth noting, I also raising a formal complaint with them over 3 weeks ago which they didn't respond to.
I have probably spoken with them between 8-10 times about this issue now

You have already explained they need to come sooner or you will need to cancel.
I guess the fact that you're on here looking for an answer suggests you were bluffing. That's a shame.

It's normal practice when there are problems with a new connection, for VM to keep the customer waiting with empty promises until the 14 days period has expired.
Another customer has now learned not to trust Virginmedia's promises.
