Hi,
How much will it cost to have my optical cable to the cabinet replaced. After some drive way adjustment it needs to be about 2m longer from the pavement to my house wall box.

The standard charge for all non-fault call-outs is £25. 95% of VMs drop lines are copper coax & not fibre. If the incoming line is black it is coax. Fibre lines are yellow. If it is coax, a technician will either put a joint box in (the size of a TV remote) or failing that will order a complete repull of the cable. Re pulls take considerably longer to arrange.

Wait 2 or 3 days for a response from VM or call customer services. A technician will either join in an extra piece of fibre or blow a new one from the cabinet. Only they will be able to give you an answer.

Hi IamSteve,
Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums. ⭐
We're sorry to hear the cable isn't quite long enough. We can certainly arrange for an engineer to come out to take a look. There is a £25 charge for this, as mentioned above.
