Freind wants virgin, but they said there’s already virgin in flat, but there’s no router or V6 box

There may well be "virgin in the flat", but it may just be a wall socket.  When an existing customer leaves, they send all the VM kit back.  Nothing will be left in the property except the means to connect a new customer.

Equipment like hubs & TV boxes are rented. So they either have to be returned, or in some cases where a customer has moved to another serviceable address, taken the kit with them.
