Hi, so I had an engineer come yesterday to do the pre-install at my address. I happened to pop out earlier today and nothing looks different - we have a Virgin media grate in the pavement under our window but it looks exactly the same as it did before the visit. Should I have a brown box there ready for the services to go live?
My next door neighbour has a brown box, I'm not sure if that was already there (we only recently moved in) or if the pre-install work was accidentally done to their house instead. We are terraced and from the outside it's not very obvious which house each bit belongs to, they may have thought that connection went into our house not our neighbours'.
Any help/anecdotes on what the external pre-install work actually involves would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi sjknits,
Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums. ⭐
We're sorry to hear that you feel as though the pre-install work hasn't been done. Sometimes on the visit, there may be issues identified which will mean the team would need to complete further work before we can install you.
This is something we can certainly check for you but in order to do that I will need to confirm some information with you to pass security.
I have sent you a direct message to allow us to do this with you in a private space. If you are using a PC/Laptop then you can just click on the little ✉ at the top right-hand side of the page to access your inbox. If you are on a mobile/tablet device then instead click on the little circle icon in the top right then select 'Messages'. 😊
Thanks,
