i posted recently about my BB being generally poo. i'm on a 250 (264mbps) package, which is plenty for my household (might upgrade for the £3 a month they keep offering, when its fixed)
engineer came and checked all inside connections and then cabinet (end of road, less than 100m) said there was a "mega ohm" fault or ohm fault - showed me pics of the electrical tester and said basically it should have been far left of the meter and mine was far to the right side.
he then changed some connectors inside and out (brown box on outside wall) but said that would be a temp fix / just to renew em. but wouldnt solve and i need a "cable pull" and this would take 10-14 days.
whats involved in this? and do i need to do anything? also will someone be in touch? as no appointment was made or follow up etc.

Basically it means VM will engage a contractor to repull a new coaxial cable between the cabinet & your front wall drop box. If the cable has not already been put in conduit through your garden, they will have to dig a new trench to install it.
