Early termination charge

Looking to join virgin media tv and fibre but still have 4 months left on plusnet contract, do virgin pay off old providers early termination charge? I know lots of other providers do.

It has been known to happen in the past, but do NOT rely on what customer services say, wait for a VM staff member to get to your post in a day or two.
