Can I get broadband

I have checked my address on the website and it states that I can get broadband. My neighbour 2 doors along has Virgin broadband.
However since I placed my broadband order I have been told that it has been put on hold, due to construction work needed. Can this please be checked to see what’s going on? I why would the website tell me it’s available if it’s not?

Construction needed could mean:

1) There is a blockage in the street duct preventing a cable being pulled to your property.

2) Your property was found not to have an access "tee" installed into the street ducting. A lot of the original cable builds are circa 40 years old & were built in a rather hasty fashion. The insertion of tees was the last job undertaken, & if the build was behind schedule it was not uncommon for the construction crews to just fill over where the tee should be with tarmac without finishing the job.

Hey BettyJo1, thank you for reaching out and I am sorry to hear this, also a warm welcome to the community.

As mentioned above it could be any of factors plus more.

Have you been given a date for them to come and take look at the fault?
