wifi pod making noise

my virgin Wi-Fi pod is permanently making a fan whirring noise and is warm to touch. is this normal ?

Also could some one tell me am i suppose to turn the pod off every night and turn back on in the morning when i need the pod to work for me or can i leave it on 24/7

Thank you so much for your post and welcome to the community forums, it's great to have you here.

I am so sorry that you have faced this issue and thank you again for posting. The Pod should be able to stay turned on the entire time, however if this is hot to the touch we would advise turning off. 

I'm going to pop you a private message so we can take a look at getting this replaced and resolved for you.
