Wifi speed

The wifi signal in my kitchen is often so weak I can’t connect to it. Other times I can but it’s never very strong. I know why - the router is at the front of the house, the kitchen at the back, with walls and a chimney in between.

When I can connect and do a home scan it says the speed is -88 dBm and all is ‘Great’. But not being able to always use wifi in my kitchen is not my definition of ‘Great’.

Not sure what to do. How will the scanner pick up a black spot? When I can’t connect to start a scan it thinks I’m not at home, so not sure how I qualify for a booster? I’m a volt customer in case that makes a difference.

Thanks in advance for any tips

-88dBm is considered extremely poor, anything greater than -75dBm is useless. Don’t forget if you get a VM pod it should be halfway between the hub and the target location.
