Wifi clash with another router, Wifi Max Pod solution?

Up to speed

I have a 1 Gig ultimate volt package.

My router is in the loft where all the networking (ethernet) and RF cables meet, so relocating the router isn't an option.

My main issue is that if there are multiple people in the lounge (2 floors below) then the Wifi can be a bit flakey.

I had a draytek Viggor that I was using as an expensive switch and had DHCP switched off, and created a WiFi access point, but for some reason there was intermittent clashing going on. I have since then replaced it with a netgear 8 port switch and the Wifi seems to be more stable.

I think the solution would be a Wifi Pod, however I need to make sure that this can be connected via ethernet as I have a spare ethernet outlet in my lounge. I think this will resolve the issues. From my package I should be able to get one without charge. Any help or advice appreciated. Cheers.

I'm not convinced VM Pods are certain work on the end of a network cable.

As you have an Ethernet connection in your lounge a Wireless Access Point or a Wi-Fi Router ( that you can configure to avoid Wi-Fi channel clashes ) would be a far better choice than facing the limitations of a VM Pod.

exactly.   Turn off the VM WiFi, and use several modern access points connected via your ethernet switch.   Ideally a mesh capable set.
