Hi,

YouTube App intermittent hanging with black screen..

Amazon Firesticks losing network connectivity within several hours when using pi-hole (DHCP turned off etc)

Amazon Firesticks losing network connectivity when NOT using pi-hole.. this is after a short period of non-use, the Wi-Fi is fine.

Is my V3 hub old and knackered?

Hi @ILoveCallCentre

Welcome back to the community forums

Sorry to hear you're having issues with your apps and firestick at this time.

Checking the systems at our side we cannot see any issues with the hub itself and all looks good with your WiFi performance.
Is the issue with YouTube on a browser or through the an app on your firestick? Is it only the firestick that you see any issues on?

We can also see that your router has been on for 167+ days straight, so we recommend trying a reboot or even a 60 second pin hole reset on the router. This will revert any customisations back to factory settings and full update the router with firmware/software updates. Please do not reboot the router whilst it is completing the pin hole request.

Hi, the issues are with 3 firesticks around the house. The YouTube app on the (4K) firesticks gives the hanging problems intermittently (one of the firesticks is situated 2 feet away from the router). Using Youtube on my PC is fine (it's a wired connection). 167 days is probably the last time I reset it in a vain attempt to get the Pi-Hole to get the DHCP working..

What is the average lifespan of the V3's?

Hi @ILoveCallCentre, thank you for your response.

There isn't a definitive answer to your question.

We'd certainly suggest trying a reboot of the router. If that doesn't make any difference, please try running some checks on the Virgin Media Connect app.

Once done, please pop back to us.

Disabling Smart Wi-Fi and using fixed Wi-Fi channels on both bands totally cured our Hub 3 Wi-Fi dropouts.
Apply these settings via the Hub 3 admin menu.

Keep the VM Connect app away from the Hub as it will perter to re-enable Smart Wi-Fi and then the random dropouts will resume every time the Hub 3 performs a Wi-Fi channel change.
