Unable to connect to split Wifi

Just joined

I managed to split my Wifi down to 2.4g and 5g and both showed on devices, but I couldn't connect to either of them - it just kept failing - anyone help

I'm not a Very Insightful Person (just a little bit, sometimes). I don't work for Virgin Media (but then nor do any of the offshore customer service agents).

Failing with the Wi-Fi password rejected ?   

Or Wi-Fi password accepted, but internet fails to work ? ( typical of a Hub 5 with DHCP failure )
