Someone else here with the now permanent red light. Have reset the hub and tried disconnecting for a bit, but the light’s still red even though the hub doesn’t feel particularly hot if at all. Have also noticed a distinct drop in the WiFi performance the past two weeks.

Sorry to hear you're getting a red light on your Hub! But thank you for going through all the usual steps we ask you to do 🤗
If it's not hot or has the smell of burning, then it's most likely an LED light fault - Which still needs an engineer to visit in order to replace it as you now won't know if there is an actual problem due to the light.
