Radio Broadcasting with VM

So, I don’t know if this is a unique issue, but bare with me.

I am a work from home radio presenter.  I specifically got virgin media broadband to make sure that there were no issues in broadcasting.

For example, when I press my key to fire the next song, there is at least a 2-3 second delay before the song plays and maybe another second before the sound of the song comes back to me.

I connected to my home broadband just to see if there was a difference.  My home broadband is 25mb/s max and there are 0 lags, everything works instantly.  My VM broadband is over 1000 mb/s and I am having these issues.

im kind of hoping there’s a simple internal fix that I can do that you smart people might know about.

as you can tell from the language I am using, I am not too tech savvy!  I am using a hub 5.

EDIT:  the delay builds up, when I first connect, it’s fine, but maybe 10 minutes in it’s a few seconds behind and gets longer the longer I stay connected.  I need to reset the connection every time to fix it.  But in my home broadband this doesn’t happen.

The problem is quite possibly due to latency, which DOCSIS cable Broadband is prone too. This also can be an issue for gamers. If you are on VMs traditional cable network there is not much that can be done to resolve it. VM is moving to XGS-PON services over the next few years, which will resolve the problem for most.
