I have used virgin scan app, but even if my connection was showing as poor it did not let me order pod. Advise please , as I am with my 14 days so considering leaving

Yes, the official route is the app, however as you know it doesn't always work as it should.
If you wait here a day or two a VM Mod should pick this up and discuss with you directly.
