I recently had a 500mb contract that was upgraded to 1gb. As part of that I was told I had to upgrade from a Virgin Media Hub 3 to a Hub 5.
With my Hub 3, I had it in modem mode and my Nest Wifi Router connected, creating a mesh network with 3 additional Google Wifi points.
However, now that I have switched to the VM Hub 5, no matter what I do, I can't get internet to my Nest Wifi Router.
I have verified that the Hub 5 has internet.
I have tried the Hub 5 in both modem mode and router mode
I have factory reset the Nest Router
I have made sure only on ethernet is plugged in (and tried in Port 1 and 4)
I'm at a loss for what to try next. It was all working perfectly with my Hub 3, the only thing that has changed is the VM hub and connection speed.
I've seen a few threads here about it, and tried the suggestions, but it seems like the Nest Router is not compatible with the Hub 5.
Thanks!

Once you have the Hub 5 in modem mode, it should behave as per the Hub 3. BUT - are you observing the sequencing needed for modem mode to work?
1. Both Hub & router OFF.
2. Router connected to Hub and switched ON; allow to settle.
3. Hub 5 switch ON - should find the router in a state of grace and then offer the WAN IP.
If that doesn’t happen, what do the NEST logs say? (Are there any?). What are your NEST WAN settings? DNS setting?
