Hi All, just had my 1 gig installation yesterday, 1st time with Virgin, and i noticed that they fibre optic cable coming into my house has been stripped of its shielding...and it exposed to the elements....is this normal?. Not sure if i should get the installers back out..pic below

IMHO that's a bad job. The outer sheath should be present, even to prevent chaffing on the fibre optic cable. My Openreach fibre install has the sheath right up to within a couple of inches of the internal ONT.
