This is so frustrating and has been happening for 4 or 5 months now.... Is there anyway to either stop these updates (green lights are showing and the arrows flashing). I'm meant to be working from home today but I've had no Internet since 11ish, router is updating (again). In the past I've tried everything, restarts, changing the connections, resetting it etc.
This happens a few times a week, seemingly at random with the WiFi down for anywhere between 2 and 10 hours. I can't work, listen to music stream any TV. If I can't switch them off is there anyway to schedule them to be overnight not in the working day? Any help would be much appreciated. This is repeatedly costing me 20 quid for extra phone data which is not great inside my house or for what I need as my hotspot is designed for this level of use.

"green lights are showing and the arrows flashing"
On our Hub 3 this usually means there is no RF signal & the local VM RFoG platform has gone down.

Try checking with Area faults on 0800 561 0061 or if you have a VM landline 150 as small local faults are not listed on the VM status page.
Post the power levels, Pre and PostRS errors and network log from the Hub. Also setup a BQM to monitor your circuit www.thinkbroadband.com/ping
Once done we can comment.

Firmware updates to the Hub are very infrequent. You have a different problem.
