Another very disappointed customer who was sold on the idea I could use my own router and equipment multiple times I asked about modem mode. I even queried about existing customers saying its not available on the 5x but they assured me this feature has been released now and working.
Assuming ther only official option is using DMZ still using the x5 or has there been any other developments people are aware of. I see TP-Link have released a new device that some claim can replace the 5x.

I was also mid-sold on the basis of this being resolved. I have multiple issues with the Hub5x.
I just checked software again and it’s not visible as an option on mine (firmware 2.40.13-2210.4).
As I’ve said to others, if you have an option to cancel during cooling off period and have other options for fibre, leave. Hopefully some voting with their feet will prompt action eventually.

Unfortunately I have virgin or gigaclear and I'm now with virgin due to months and months of issues with my gigaclear installation

you might be able to go to http://192.168.0.1/?page=modemmode but may only work on the top port 1Gb

Thanks for reaching out to us @MRxQPR1991, and we're sorry to hear of the issued experienced with the prospect of modem mode not being available to you on the Hub 5x.
Can you please confirm if you've been able to follow the link by @legacy1 to see if this will allow you to place the hub in modem mode as planned?
