My relatively new Hub 4, is getting really hot (almost too hot to touch) and I can hear the fan running but this is having little or no impact on the temperature. I am really concerned about an electrical fire so have started switching off completely overnight and when I'm going out. I have cleaned and dusted regularly, and it has good air circulation. Any ideas please?

Thanks all, new Hub 5 now installed and working well so far, not even slightly warm to the touch.

I searched and found this thread because I too was finding a new Hub 4 hot and noisy. I did some measurements, including 35 degC on top of the hub and 15.9W power usage via a plug energy monitor, even with no devices connected. VM were very good in reaching out to me privately, and after trying various things offered me a Hub 5 which is working fine - no fan noise, not hot, and using only 11.4W during typical use. After bad experiences of getting anything done via phone calls, I am impressed by the responsiveness on this Community website.
