How do I connect to the main router and not the pods?

Hi,

I have had issues with speed in the back bedroom and have now received a pod to sort this which seems to be doing ok. It was around 1-2mb download and is now at 70mb although the router is showing 1200mb download.

Anyway the issue is when in the living room or kitchen which is literally 1 to 3 metres from the main router it seems to be a lower speed since the pod has been put in place. Are all my devices now connecting to the pod and not the main router?

If that's the case I now have a 70mb connection across about 30 devices which isn't going to work.

I am getting around 50-70 on every device in the house now except the ones wired to the router which is only 2.

Thanks

With the VM Hub and the VM Pod you have zero control over what happens.
It is one of several serious drawbacks of the VM pods.

If you replace the VM Pod with a retail Wi-Fi repeater, that can produce the repeated signal with a different SSID making it easy to connect to the VM Hub or the Wi-Fi repeater.

https://www.toolstation.com/tp-link-wi-fi-range-extender/p52846    Prices begin around £20.

That's just stupid from Virgin, I am literally next to the router and it's connecting to a pod several meters away

Hey jaffbfc1, thank you for reaching out and and I am sorry to hear you are having some pods issues.

As mentioned above the WIFI and pods will together to give you the best possible connection.

It will benefit your connection overall.
