House Move - Disconnection Previous Owners

Looking for some help! We moved into our new house almost a week ago and had hoped to have the wi-fi up and running for just after move in (especially for working from home etc) However having phoned Virgin a couple of times they have said that they need the previous owners to disconnect their wi-fi before ours can go in, as their Virgin account is still active, 

We’ve been in touch with our solicitor to also remind the previous owners, but just wondered if there’s any other way to speed up this process so we can stop using so much data on our phones and having to work from relatives homes.
