Wednesday
Hi,
My devices don't seem to be using the WiFi Pod to connect to a better signal and instead connect to the Hub which is further away and not giving as good a signal.
I've attached an image showing the Chromecast connecting to the Hub and not the WiFi Pod, and getting a poor signal. Whereas my phone is connecting to the WiFi Pod and getting a good signal.
Can someone explain how I get devices closer to the WiFi Pod to connect to it?

VM Hubs and VM Pods use a common SSID - this means whatever your device chooses can not be overridden.
The only solution is to return the VM Pod and replace it with a retail Wi-Fi Repeater that can easily be configured to repeat the Wi-Fi signal on a different SSID.
E.g From the VM Hub SSID : VM1234567 and from the Repeater SSID: VM1234567_EXT1
now it would be possible to select either VM1234567 or VM1234567_EXT1 from the devices Wi-Fi menu.

Hi @DForeman thanks for your post although we're sorry to hear of your concerns raised here.
I know this may seem a little basic here, but have you tried rebooting the equipment to see if the reset helps?
It could then trigger the Chromecast to latch onto the WiFi Pod instead.
Additionally, how old is the Chromecast device, can it connect to 5ghz frequency WiFi, or is it limited to 2.4ghz? This may also be the reason it is connecting to the Hub too.
Many thanks

Hi @Tom_W1,
It's a relatively new Chromecast, 4k version, and I'm sure it can connect to 5ghz frequency.
I've tried rebooting the Hub 3 but nothing changed. I even rebooted the Pod as well.

Hi @Client62,
Thanks for your advice.
Do you have any recommendations for a WiFi repeater?
Is it work getting something like a tp link ac1900?
