Unrequested Ommph Sim moved to )2 and now being charged for it

This is probably old news but I was given a SIM when I updated to Ommph several years ago ( it was unrequested, unwanted and unused). I now realise that I have been charged by O2 for this SIM. Trying to get it cancelled required me to go into the local O2 store. They were great and, after 90 minutes, managed to get it cancelled; however, they were unable to help with a refund as they said Vigin had misold the SIM/Ommph package. Calling the support lines goes nowhere with Virgin.

Hi @rogerball

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community.

I am sorry for the confusion.

All mobile SIMs were migrated to O2 by the end of 2023 - https://www.virginmedia.com/help/mobile/your-move-to-o2

However, on OOMPH, the new monthly fee you'd be paying would be covered on your media bill so no refund would be due.

I'll PM you though so we can discuss the specifics.
