Unable to change sign in email address

I need to change the email address I use to sign-in to My Virgin Media.  I have tried to do this online and I was supposed to receive a verification email to the new account.  Unfortunately, this didn't arrive for a long time - so long I had given up waiting.  I saw the email a couple of days later but when I click on the "create account" link I get an "Invite link expired" message.  If I go back into My Virgin Media and try to change my login email address again I get a "You've recently requested to change the email address you use to sign in to My Virgin Media. Please check your emails and verify this change before making further account changes" message.

So, I am completely stuck.  There is no way to verify with the original email, and no way to send a new one!  I've waited several days to see if it all resets itself, but it hasn't

Any Ideas how I can move forward from here?

Hi i am having a similar issue, i want to change my password but its requesting i add a new email address but then get

"You've recently requested to change the email address you use to sign in to My Virgin Media. Please check your emails and verify this change before making further account changes"

Sorry to hear you are having some issues changing your sign in email address for My VM. 

Are you getting an error code or message when trying to update the primary login details via My VM? There's instructions on how to do so via this help page 👉 How to manage my account | Virgin Media Help - head to the 'how to update my details' section in the FAQ.

I have exactly this problem.  We changed one of our subsidiary emails to the new system (virgin email and app password for outlook etc; secondary email and original password for Virgin Media access).  Somewhere in the confusion fo doing this we added my work email to my wife's VM login.  Now I can't change the email to her GMail account .... I get the:

"You've recently requested to change the email address you use to sign in to My Virgin Media. Please check your emails and verify this change before making further account changes"

But there is no verification email and no option to have it re-sent.  I will lose that work email address soon, so really need to change to another one.  What to do?

I see VM have been posting PMs to people about this ... why can't they just post the solution?  Or fix it?
