Unable to change sign in email address

I need to change the email address I use to sign-in to My Virgin Media.  I have tried to do this online and I was supposed to receive a verification email to the new account.  Unfortunately, this didn't arrive for a long time - so long I had given up waiting.  I saw the email a couple of days later but when I click on the "create account" link I get an "Invite link expired" message.  If I go back into My Virgin Media and try to change my login email address again I get a "You've recently requested to change the email address you use to sign in to My Virgin Media. Please check your emails and verify this change before making further account changes" message.

So, I am completely stuck.  There is no way to verify with the original email, and no way to send a new one!  I've waited several days to see if it all resets itself, but it hasn't

Any Ideas how I can move forward from here?

I think I'm hitting the same issue. Trying to get into an old @ntlworld.com email account. Reset the Virgin Media login, got as far as adding a third party email address but nothing in that inbox (over an hour, checked trash etc) and now it won't let me try again as I get

"You've recently requested to change the email address you use to sign in to My Virgin Media. Please check your emails and verify this change before making further account changes."

Any ideas?

I have the same issue. Ask for email and never receive one. Pretty poor effort VM.

I have mysteriously disappearing emails and think my account might be compromised but can't change email password until I've changed VM login email address.

Help required.

I am sorry to hear you are having a similar issue. So we can best help can you please let us know, is it email and My Virgin Media you are having issues with getting access to? When you select forgot password what happens?

All it says is an option to save the new email address but that just loops and I never have an email in my alternative address from virgin to reply to.

Can you please confirm if you have been able to check your junk/spam folder of the alternative E-Mail address?

On occasion verification E-Mails can find there way into those folders.

Hello David_Bn I have indeed checked my spam and now I have double checked it and on the two / three occasions I have input my alternative email not once have I received a verification message at the alternative address in any of the folders.

Getting a bit ridiculous.

I have the same problem too. I have wasted hours on this and spent 40 mins on the phone to VM last night before the line went dead at 8pm. Appalling service
