Hi everyone,
Not sure if I`m posting in the correct thread, but maybe someone could help me.
I`m a fairly new Virgin media customer. I have only opted for a Broadband deal at the end of November last year. I got a "deal" for 350MB - first 3 months free and then 38.5 £ per month for 18 months. Being a O2 customer, I got a boost to 500 MB, again for "free". If you do the maths, you realise that those 3 months free are actually paid on the rest of the 15 months. Anyway, long story short, April came and I got an increase from 38.5£ to 41.88£ - Amost 9% increase.
So for 350MB I am now paying 41.88£ which is a rip off. Looking at the deals now, 516MB is now priced at 33.99£ so 8£ less than the "deal" I`ve got.
I don`t think this is very fair, and this will be the first and last time I will be a customer of Virgin Media. My friends all warned me not to become a customer for Virgin. Guess I found out the hard way.
Anyway, if there`s someone that could look in to this for me, I would appreciate couple quid off the bill.
Thanks,
Radu

You had 3 months free plus a fixed discount for the remaining part of the contract. The base price is not fixed, & VM is not alone in increasing base prices on a yearly basis. Read the small print before you sign anything.
I would also point out that new customer deals are sold at a loss to VM in order to get new custom. This has always been their business model.
