TNT sports removed when upgrading to Sky Sports HD

I've just upgraded to Sky Sports HD noticed they've removed TNT sports. Can I get this reversed? Customer service have been appalling at getting answers, they've tried to assure me that TNT is included in the upgrade which it clearly isn't.

On this simple, online form, please let the regulator OfCom know about your experience of removing services without your agreement. Ofcom have been investigating various complaints since 2023, but many customers have not reported because they did not know or thought it would take lots of time.

Problem sorter

It's all a bit of a mess. VM has been busily stripping TNT Sport out of new contracts as well as some existing ones.

I don't know the full story of your upgrade but it sounds like you were explicitly told on the phone that TNT Sport is included in your upgrade. If so then that is binding on VM. The VM forum team might be able to help you. In the meantime secure the call recording via a data request. The link is below.

Hi darylmcl,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the community.

I'm very sorry for any issue with your upgrade.

We can certainly take a look into this for you.

I will private message you now.

Martin why are renewals such a mess at the moment?

Any change to your TV service normally results in you moving off any legacy tier and onto a currently-sold tier instead. Maxit, which had TNT Sports included, is now legacy and no longer sold. The current top-tier equivalent is Mega, which does not include TNT Sports.

New around here?

Thank you. I am going to take this up.

@unisoft Virgin Media has now disabled the online form without warning.

On our wavelength

If you're on the Maxit package, on your dashboard it will advertise TNT sports as part of your package.
You should document this before VM push a quiet change out to the wording removing that and claiming it wasn't there all along...
