Stream downgrade

I am new to virgin media and it is proving a little more expensive than I would like. Can I move to Virgin Stream and how much would it cost.

How new? You might still be able to use your 14 day cooling off period.

Hi leeny41,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums.

We're sorry to hear you're having issues with your monthly service price. Stream is only available if you've never had a TV service with us. We provide the Stream box for free and then you would pay for any viewing content you would like. If you currently have a TV service then Stream would be unavailable to you.

You can view more on Stream and what it entails here

If you're interested in adding this, pop back and let us know and we can help further.

Thanks,

Kath the Stream box is actually subject to a £35 activation fee according to the VM website

If you have a v6 or 360 TV box and out of 14 day cool off period, then you'll have to sit it out to end of contract. 30 days before expiry of your contract, you could ring retentions and say you will leave Virgin unless you can renegotiate a new package deal that has Stream instead of v6/360. They will have to cancel the v6/360 with 30 days notice first though. If you get a good retentions person, then all you'll have to do is then order the Stream box once that TV service has ceased (you need to wait about 4 days after it ceases for internal systems to catch up). They may do a BB Only (or if you had landline BB + landline) contract, then you add the Stream after new contract starts as no service charge for it, just an activation fee plus any optional extra monthly 30 day subscriptions you subscribe too.
