Re-contract problems

Tuning in

My contract is up in May 24. Trying to re contract a lower price is hard. I want to reduce my costs and take sky cinema and kids channels off but keep netflix and sky sports and my broadband but customers service say I can't do this. So how do I lower my costs. The package they give me is too expensive now!!

Cancel and then the retentions team might begin to take some interest and call you (assuming you have enabled marketing contact).

Dont bother ringing customer services. Use the leaving Virgin option on the phone. Tell them you dont get value and unless they agree to a package change you'll be terminating al services. You HAVE to be deadly serious and not say words like "thinking of leaving" or "seeing what my options are". Straight to the point, go in with word cancel services. Only that way will you get any proper attention, else the £5 off offers come instead of a a total package shake up.

Price up Sky or another provider and be ready to book an appointment if you go through with a cancel. If you haven't gone through this before and marketing enabled in my virgin media, the you'll likely get retentions ring you back with far superior offers or texts with offers.

Part of being serious with a retentions call is that you have priced up alternative suppliers for your combination of services, and you have facts & figures in front of you. If you've not already done so, do now. Being prepared and informed, will get you a much better outcome.
