Random refund cheque

Hi all

About 2 months ago I took out a contract for a broadband package but then decided not to proceed, the installation was going to be too invasive, and cancelled the contract. I never received any services and Virgin confirmed the contract was cancelled and there will be no charge. I haven't paid anything either. I just received a cheque for £30.49 and I have no idea what it is for. I tried webchat but it just kicks me out. Any ideas?

Hi there @Despicablememe 👋 Welcome to our forum and thanks for your post 😊

Sorry to see you've not been able to find out what this cheque was for. If the service was cancelled before being installed, this may be for a delay, if one occurred at anytime due to auto compensation.

However, what I'll do is check this for you to confirm what it was for. I'll pop you a PM to confirm some details so this can be done.

Regards

Nathan
