Online recontract upgrade offer not activated.

I received an email from Virgin Media claiming my contract has ended and i could recontract with fixed pricing until the year 2025.

I log on to my virgin media account to check any offers and i upgraded the broadband on my package online from M125 to M250 while keeping the rest of the package the same. This was done on the 22/3/24.

I was sent a confirmation email with an activation date of the 25/3/24.

It is now the 26/3/24, is there something wrong?

Hi jamesisaacs

Thank you for your post, welcome to the Community Forums.

We're sorry to hear that your new contract doesn't seem to have been applied to your account. I'd love to take a look into this with you and find out what's happened. I've dropped you a DM so I can take your account details and have a look.

I have also just received a Recontract email. My current contract has three months left. My offer is to re contract now and my current price will be fixed until 31st March 2025. I currently pay £78, but have a discount of £27, so in July my price will increase to £105, plus the April increase.
Do I assume the offer is what I am paying at present? So on this basis I will save £243 (27x9).
Sounds to good to be true. Also when you try to view the offer all you get is “Oops something went wrong”. So presumably I now have to make the dreaded phone call or use the chat option. Why can’t VM make it simple.

Thanks for reaching out to us @BlueGT, and welcome back to our Community Forums!

Sorry to hear that the offer to renew has not been made visible to you, have you been able to clear the cache on the browser you're using to see if the offer is then able to load up for you?

The offer available might not be an exact renewal, but may offer an alternative method of saving - such as a lower rate than your set to expire contract price.

Thanks
