Mega bundle including netflix. Do I cancel my existing Netflix account?

Donendusted
Tuning in

Just signed up for new mega tv bundle which includes Netflix standard with ads. Activation email received. - v efficient. I already have Netflix standard without ads. for which I pay separately.  I use the same email address for both Netflix and Virgin.
Question: do I wait for the activation link to work before I cancel my existing account with Netflix? (Next payment to Netflix due in 10 days). And how do I upgrade my Virgin Netflix to ad-free and pay the difference?

Hi Donendusted,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums.

If you've activated Netflix under the same email address, the account will stay active and the payment will just be paid by Virgin Media instead of being taken from your card.

In terms of upgrading, you can do this via your Netflix account or through My Virgin Media. Once upgraded, the additional will be charged to your Virgin Media account each month.

Let us know if you have any further issues.

Thanks,

Hi Kath. Thanks for replying.
Virgin are including standard with ads as part of my bundle. I currently have standard without ads.
if I activate the link, will my current ad free account come over to Virgin and I will simply pay the £6 difference through my virgin media bill?

Thank you @Donendusted  for popping back to us, to confirm if you accepted the new deal then your Netflix account would switch over to a Netflix with Ads profile per the contract

Once I click on that link, please can you clarify what happens to the existing direct debit that I pay to Netflix for standard without ads?
And once Netflix is absorbed into my Virgin media account can I upgrade it to “no ads” and somehow just pay the difference?

Thank you @Donendusted and that's correct, the increased charge would appear on your Virgin bill

Have clicked the link. So far so good.
Thanks Kath.
