Final Bill - Not received yet

Hi all,

I have recently disconnected my Virgin Media services as I moved abroad. The disconnection date was the 30th July, but I have still yet to receive the closing bill.

I am a bit concerned, as I cannot phone the Virgin Media helpline to resolve this issue, and the payment date for the next bill is 7th August.

Would it be possible to assist me with how to resolve this issue please?

Hi Paraskevas

Virgin continue to bill you as usual until your disconnection is complete. This helps to make sure your final month of service isn’t interrupted.

You will therefore probably see charges that go beyond your disconnection date, normally because your cancellation date takes effect mid billing cycle.

Once your services are fully disconnected VM recalculate what you’ve used and send an adjusted final bill  detailing any credits you may have for the services you haven't  used. They then refund those monies by cheque

Hi Paraskevas 👋 Welcome to the community forum!

Sorry to hear you have recently left our services. Thanks to the community for offering some support and insight on this one. They are completely correct - you are billed in advance, and right up until your services are disconnected. Once your services are no longer active, you receive a final bill which includes any refund for Pro-rata charges (payments in advance).

You can find more information on cancelling our services via this help page 👉 https://www.virginmedia.com/help/cancel-virgin-media and more information about final bills 👉 https://www.virginmedia.com/support/help/billing-and-payment/bill-explainer/my-final-bill-explainer
