I recently cancelled my VM service and received a final bill on 24th October showing a prorated Credit of £30.08
I have not received the credit yet. When should I expect it? (presumably by cheque as I cancelled my direct debit to ensure I was not billed again which I was going to be as my cancellation (switch) was originally messed up).

I am so sorry to hear you have cancelled your service with us but to confirm it can take up to 45 days for the cheque refund to arrive after the disconnection has taken place. If after this time the cheque has still not come through please do let us know and we will be happy to chase this for you.
