Hello,
On the 1st January I accidentally entered my pin on an adult channel, and after doing so a message popped up saying that I had just been charged £6.99. This all came as a bit of a shock because there were no warnings about being charged, which I find very misleading.
I contacted Virgin the next day and I was told that nothing had gone through and I wouldn't be charged. However, I received my bill the other day and the charge is indeed on there.
I contacted Virgin again on the 9th January, and I was told that the charge could not be refunded, even after I told the agent that I didn't watch the content. Furthermore, when I said that I had been previously told that I wouldn't be charged the agent asked me to prove it, which I found rather insulting because my integrity was being questioned.
Nevertheless, after persisting with the customer service agent for nearly an hour, they said that he would raise a complaint and provide me with a refund. However, they said in order to proceed I had to close the complaint, which sounded rather suspicious to me. They also said that someone would contact me within 24 hours, and no one has. To be honest, this customer service agent was by far the the rudest and incompetent person I have ever spoken to at Virgin in thirty years of being a customer.
So now I'm here, asking if anyone can possibly help me with this.
