The property I live in (family members property) is being sold so I am having to move out and need to cancel virgin broadband contract, as I will have to move to temporary accommodation with no permanent address yet.
I've been quoted £153 cancellation fees which I don't have up front, as I have to leave the property and with only temporary accommodation I asked if the fee could be reduced or waived and was told rudely no.
When asked about returning equipment and a forwarding address, which I told the call handler I don't know where I will be living and could the envelope be sent to me before I move out, I was told quite rudely the envelope for return equipment has to be sent after the contract ends and I must have an address, absolutely no empathy for people living in temporary accommodation.
Is there any help for reducing fees? I appreciate paying something but £153 is alot, even if I could pause my account that would work? Do virgin pause accounts?
early termination does not cost virgin, a small admin task, so seems very unfair

Hey Kcg22, thank you for reaching out and a warm welcome to the community I am so sorry to hear about this.
We would cancel the early disconnection fee if you had proof you was moving into a none serve property.
Also do you have anything of the council to state you are doing into temporary housing at all?
