I have just spent 44 minutes on to virgin media cancellation team and still no further forward.
The terms and conditions clearly state s 14 day cooling off period where no charge will be made
So why is it the young lady I was on with kept saying, numerous times, that i would be in service up to 14th June 2024 as I have to give 30 days notice. Then I would be charged for the 30 days.
What part of the T&C;s is not easy to undertsand!?
I have now had notification of the 30 day cancellation period despite me protesting. Do these people in a call centre not allowed to go off script and actually read and think for themselves?
So, i will have a system i wont use but will pay the price of the month. How can this be right!
Who can help me with this?
I will cancel the direct debit and will not be paying for something that is not as good as it was sold.
In desperation I need some help please to get through this awful beaurocracy
Thanks in advance
John

Well, I have received a message from VM customer service stating my contract will terminate in 30 days and a bill produced thereafter. Are all VM employees really this stupid!
Installation of equipment and start of contract was 10th May. I cancelled on 14th May. That is 4 days, well within 14 days cooling off period. There should be no charge and the contract terminates 14th May not 13th June.
I despair and will never recommend VM to any of my friends, family or colleague.
