Can’t pay my bill

I was previously a Virgin media customer.  I cancelled my services as moved address and send the tech back.  I was suprised that when I checked my Credit file account two years later that there was one miss payment after we had moved out.

I do not have a copy of my old bill, I do not have a copy of my account number . 

I spoke to Virgin media on a call and unfortunately they were unable to help as I could not gain access to my old account as I do not pass the security questions ,the employee was able to find a trace on my account but couldn’t access to confirm a payment amount  stating he can take a payment for me, but could not  actually confirm the amount as my account as locked,

He stated he could send a letter out and then i could use that to make a payment once I had received it. However, there was no availability on the system to change the address.i got the letter sent to my old address however the couple who live there now have still not received a letter.

I want to make the payment, if I owe that money however I was not aware that I did.

I find it very difficult that I can not get any answers, I can not sort this payment issue out 

This is the only thing affecting my credit file  it is impacting on me negatively and stress the importance of there being a resolution ASAP whether it is my account is fully closed and the debt removed or a way for me to pay (the correct balance verified by a virgin media staff) and that the report is then updated accordingly.

Any help or other solutions appreciated
