What is wrong with the Virgin Media website? Whatever I attempt to do, no matter the time or year - the only thing I'm ever met with is ERRORS! It's beyond frustrating. Why is nothing fixed on this awful website?
Anyway. I'm trying to create an account but every time I type a password it shows up with the same error. You can't use that password. Please choose another. YES - I have followed the guidelines (which make no sense, why would I choose such a weak password?); it doesn't work no matter what I type in. This has been an issue since 2019 (!!!) and still hasn't been fixed. Massively disappointed with VM.
This is for a broadband account. Not Cable or mobile.

Thanks for posting on our community forum and sorry to hear about your issue!
Have you tried alternative password options making sure they are between 8-10 characters? Easily guessable passwords will not allow the system to create them which can cause this issue. Please do let me know 🙂

Hi Travis, appreciate the follow up.
I actually managed to get it sorted by switching between my PC and phone and trying over and over again. Eventually it took my details (on the My Virgin Media app) after maybe 50 attempts, despite the fact I never changed any details in pretty much every attempt. It is very weird the way the My Virgin Media service works, it seems broke as hell.

Yes, I did try many times with different combinations......but still showing me the passwords can't be used....

This didn't work for me. I think some people are randomly getting lucky or something.

Actually,easy passwords are the ones that seem to work, I tried numerous attempts with more complicated ones and the system wouldn't allow it even though it met the criteria requested?

Hi Travis,
I'm getting exactly the same issue. I've tried on mobile, on macOS with 3 separate browsers with all extensions / ad blockers / AVs disabled.
I've tried complex passwords and simple passwords, I've tried it more than 50 times.
This is insanely poor.
My service has been active for a day now.
Help!

Hi,
I am in the same situation, tried for a week now all all I see is "You can't use that password. Please choose another.". Different browsers, phone, Macbook, windows, I mean come on what are the actual guidelines as the password checker also says "All requirements met" 💩
I need to change my installation date and am unable to do so, as I need an account........
Come ON Virginmedia get a grip!
