Can't cancel my direct debit

Please can someone cancel it and not charge me for the last bill. I've been trying to sort this for a while and unable to get anyone to cancel it via the chat

Welcome to the community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums. I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re having trying to cancel your direct debit. 

If you have cancelled your services with us, your direct debit would be cancelled automatically, once your final bill has been paid.

VM can not cancel Direct Debits, they can only stop claiming them from your bank. Only you can cancel Direct Debits by contacting your bank. My bank allows cancelling via a web browser or via an app.
