I currently have a package of broadband speed 250 phone line not used since Sept 2023 and miixit tv. Contract due to end at end of year. Rang on 2 separate occasions for broadband only. Told me around 50 quid. Second time didn't listen to what my requirements where. Came back with 2 packs 60 and 84 quid. Asked again broadband only told around 70 quid. Making up prices as they speak. Told me to ring option 4 and 4 don't get this option when I ring. Anybody had same issues or do I wait until last month of expiry.

Hi @leythersrus
Welcome back to the community forums
Sorry to hear the team weren't able to offer you a suitable deal. Have you been provided your end of contract notification? Customers get these when their contract is about to expiry in 30 days time. You should also then have renewal offers available on your online account, but should you wish to disconnect a service, you'd need to speak with the team directly, either by calling as you've done, or through the live chat option through your online account if you prefer.

Thanks for the response. I am a few months before end of contract so was trying to be a proactive. How come they never mentioned Stream and broadband. Is this not an option?

You are unlikely to get a very good deal while you are still in a minimum term period. You are more likely to get an acceptable offer in the last 30 days of your minumum term.
That said, VM's silly renewal processes seem to have become even more ridiculous in recent times. Many, reporting on here, have had to cancel before getting a decent offer. Some have cancelled and no further offers were forthcoming so have left VM.
VM's agents are incentivised to up-sell you products and services not offer reductions in services. VM's 'bundle' approach to selling means you are likely to get a lower minimum term price if you take (say) broadband and phone instead of just broadband. Downside is when the minimum term ends, your package will jump up to a much higher 'standard' price for two services unless you renew again or leave.

Bear in mind, M250 for "new" customers is £27 pm at the moment just for Broadband. You are classed as a new customer after 90 days of leaving. Or if someone else in your household signs up when you leave, they would be new customers.

Stream is an alternative TV service we offer. It cannot be added to a package that already has a TV service.
Steam is a little different to our other TV services, it only comes with the free to view channels but you do have the feature of adding on other subscriptions such as Sky Sports, Cinema and the streaming apps like Netflix and Amazon prime. You can find our more how Stream works here should you need.
