I was 12 months in to an 18 month contract on the Ultimate Volt package, which included Maxit TV, which included BT Sport, which became TNT Sports. I opted last week to add Sky Sports Ultra HD to my package as it was on offer for an extra £4 per month. I expected that to be an add-on to my existing contract. This was done online.

Instead I have been issued a new 18 month contract, which is shown as Triple Top Bundle which includes Maxit TV, with Sky Sports Ultra HD as an add-on. TNT Sports was disabled on my box at the same time as Zky Sports UHD was enabled.

There was no mention when choosing the Sky Sports UHD add-on that I would be entering into a new 18 month contract, or that I would be losing TNT Sports. I still had 6 months of my original contract to run, and my new contract still lists Maxit as my bundle, so I believe I should still have it. Basically my cost has gone up by £4 per month but overall I now have less channels.

Similar for me, I’ve lost TNT Sports. But in my case I just chose to upgrade my Sky Sports to UHD for £4 extra, but this seems to have triggered a new contract and TNT Sports has been removed. There was no mention of this in any of the online info. Amusingly I can’t even see what the cost of TNT as an add-on is as my.virginmedia says I already have it, despite all channels being locked out.

Hi Daz28,

Thanks for posting and welcome back to our Community Forums.

We're sorry there's been some confusion with the new contract you've taken up online where Sports TNT has been removed & you've accidentally gone into a new contract.

If you're still in the 14 days cooling off period then you can revert back to your original contract.

Or if you want to keep the same offer and add TNT Sports on your new contract we can do this too, but you will still be within the new 18 months term as it was an order for a new package online with add-ons that changed the content and pricing. Please the our Legal Stuff site here to see our Terms & Conditions.

Please let us know what you would like to do.

Thanks,

Meg

I’m ok with the new 18 month contract, if TNT can be added a no extra cost.

Thanks Daz28,

I'll drop you a quick message now so we can get that sorted for you.
